Benromach

(zottelig, stachelig aussehender Berg)

Die kleine Destillerie Benromach ist in der Marktstadt Forres in Campeltown beheimatet und wurde im Jahre 1898 infolge der aufkommenden Whiskyindustrie von F.W. Brickmann (einem Spirituosenhändler aus Leith) und Duncan Macallum von Glen Nevis Distillery gegründet.

Die Zeit des großen Whisky-Crash der Distillerien, der Prohibition in den USA und der beiden Weltkriege überstand Benromach mehr oder weniger. Was folgte war eine Reihe von Eigentümerwechsel und Namensänd....
