Herkunft:
Die Bladnoch Destillerie liegt eingebettet in die satten grünen Wiesen der Grafschaft Dumfries & Galloway nahe des Städtchens Wigtown im südwestlichen Schottland und ist damit die südlichste Brennerei Schottlands.
Gegründet wurde sie – als Teil einer Farm - bereits 1817 durch die Gebrüder John und Thomas McClelland, die Bladnoch nach dem Inkrafttreten des „Excise Act“ 1825 legalisieren ließen.
