Glenfarclas 12 Jahre

Atemberaubend süß

Der Glenfarclas 12 y.o. ist ein delikater Single Malt Whisky, der in erlesenen Sherryfässern bis zur Vollendung reifte. In der Nase präsentiert er sich recht würzig und glänzt mit reifen Früchten. Im Geschmack dominiert eine herrliche Süße, die sich aus tiefen Sherrytönen und etwas Toffee zusammensetzt. Vom Stil her ist er dabei trocken, direkt und geschmeidig-sanft. Hinweise auf Torf und ein zarter Anflug von Eiche runden ihn würdig ab. Das Finish verwöhnt noch lange und überzeugt mit Aromen von Lakritze und geröstetem Getreide.

Geruch: würzig, reife Früchte
Geschmack: trocken, direkt und geschmeidig-sanft, tiefe Sherrytöne und etwas Toffee, sehr süß, Torf und Eiche

Herkunft:

Mitten in einem landwirtschaftlich genutzten Gebiet unterhalb der Hänge des Ben Rinnes im Nordosten liegt die Destillerie Glenfarclas. Sie wurde ursprünglich als ländliche Brennerei gegründet und nach ihrer Lizenzierung 1836 von John Grant übernommen, unter dem Gesichtspunkt sie zu verpachten. Seitdem befindet sich die Brennerei im Besitz der Familie Grant.
Zunächst war die Brennerei unterverpachtet an den Verwandten John Smith, der nach fünf Jahren das Unternehme....
